Cortland’s Fairplay 8ft Rod

The strong, lightweight Fairplay 8ft fly rods feature a 4 piece composite blank and are fitted with a hook keeper.  The 5/6 WT rod can be perfectly matched with our 5/6 WT Fairplay Pre-loaded graphite matrix composite reel, and is ideal for Trout, Pan fish and Bass.  The 8/9 WT rod is fitted with a fighting butt, and is ideal for Big Game Trout, Bass, Steelhead, Pike, Salmon, Carp, and Saltwater Species.

Great tournament rod

This rod is my go to bass rod in 8wt. It handles bigger bass well and is 8 feet, making it legal for bass tournaments.

Nice rod!!

I bought a fairplay rod at a thift shop at a great price. I own a couple silver streams to use as loaners when nephews and nieces come to fish.

I loaded the Fairplay with an old reel in my bag. I hit the Henry's Fork with it. The rod casts great. Roll casts and flipping 10, 8, 6 hoppers and buggers was no issue. Even when the wind picked up, the rod kept up to my Redington, and others.

It is my new packing rod as it is a 4 piece!!

Goning to buy an 8/9 for Christmas for myself!!
